Who| South Dakota and You!
What| South making bad-life decisions (aka brother avoidance)
Where| Around the Ship and Legion World
When| First half of March
Warnings/Notes| Language, will add as necessary
South Dakota has never been accused of being a wholly mature person who makes informed decisions after careful consideration. Case in point, when her twin brother arrives on Legion she does her best to avoid him; she's not ready to give up her new-found Independence. On the same hand, though, he's always been an intergral part of her life and the moments she'd spent here without him always felt weird on some level.
So, with these two warring sides, she's been attempting to avoid him in general, and using her power to assume other people's personas when she couldn't sneak past him. So sometimes you might run into someone you swore you just left somewhere else, or - as the case is as the month wears on - you might see someone transforming into someone else as she comes or goes from where ever North is currently.
Feel free to run into any of the following that are actually South Dakota in disguise; South Dakota, America, Dave Strider, Texas, Robbie, or perhaps even random animals.

Luna is currently dragging her harness behind her and stalking the halls, when she sees that flicker of movement. Immediately she hunches down, creeping after the movement, as any kitten worth her salt would.

Something was watchi--shit, cat! Something supposedly so small and adorable suddenly appeared as much more sinister, and she immediately starts crawling away as fast as her tiny little legs can skitter.

"Hey kitty-kitty," he says, crouching down and extending a hand in that direction. He assumes it's a cat. A lot of people seem to be bringing cats in lately, maybe one of them has gotten lost.
"Pss pss pss pss." He flutters his fingers in an encouraging motion. "Here kitty."

The funny noises he makes are amusing, so she pauses where she is, and then turns and trots back around the corner and looks up at Tadashi as if to say, 'Yeah?'

"What the heck?!"
no subject
"Dude, the look on your face!" She leans against the wall to catch her breath. "Priceless!"

"What the fuck?"
Yes, South, nice save.

"Who are you?" she demands.

"Agent Texas, you are out of line! Unhand me at once!"

slides in here finally
Hence why she reaches down to scoop up that poor little thing almost as quickly as she sees it.
\o/
A little growl rumbles in her throat as she turns to look at the offender, ears going back in preparation of a hiss, but then she sees who it is and there's a dim recollection of seeing her before ... she grows silent for a moment, then settles into Sombra's hands and starts purring.
Yeah, they'd fucked around but she'd helped her deal with the whole Silent Horizon bullshit so she's giving her a pass on this.
oh my gosh.....
Knowing the local cat crew, one of the armored horde must have lost track of their newest pets. Connie, maybe?
"It'd be a lot easier if they put a name tag on you."
XD
To Sombra's comment she gives a plaintive little 'Mew!' No one's putting a tag on her!
left it intentionally vague for your purposes!
You'd think that someone that grew up in the irradiated Australian wilderness would know better than to approach an unfamiliar animal, especially one that seems removed from its usual habitat. But here Junkrat is, reaching out with a metal hand to pet and greet this creature.
"Awh, g'day there! Didja get lost, mate?"
bwahahaha hope this works!
Which is why she's gone with a spider on the wall. Cats can't reach and people won't!
Then this bastard comes along and starts getting handsy. There's no winning here, is there? She tucks her legs in at first, then tries to scurry off away from him.
i'll chock up him reaching for a spider on the grounds that he's nucking futs
And like that, he plucks her from the wall. Despite being a chunky metal prosthetic, his hold on her is feather-light to avoid hurting her but too rigid to let her escape and get to, say, something she can bite and actually cause damage.
"Where did ya even come from...? I got a place I can keep ya, as long as ya promise not ta get underfoot."
Because those are promises that spiders can make. Right?
I figured if anyone would handle a spider it'd be him
this is why the spider episode of peppa pig is banned in australia
precisely XD

"Now what are you doing out here all on your own?"
no subject
Hopefully without calling her out on her shit.
Because seriously she just doesn't want to deal with adult things right now.
no subject
Because obligate carnivores still gotta eat and shit. He tucks her up against his shoulder and starts walking- well. To his habitat. It's nice and safe there, right?

It's not always convincing, but it's a mantra he's become very good at reciting, all the same.
He stays friendly - that, at least, is second nature. So when he spots America, he lifts his hand in genuinely pleased greeting. "Beeny, hey, where're you going?" He quirks a grin, obviously teasing. "Sim rooms are the other way."
no subject
"Did it occur to you I might be leaving the sim rooms?"
Yeah, yeah that sounds good. A little humor, does she do humor? Well, she does now. But, this is the first time he's talking to her directly; until now South had been able to bypass him one way or another.
no subject
Purely a hypothetical - he's just ribbing her, and he lets it go without waiting for a response, more important things on his mind than teasing her about her sim room use that's swiftly becoming infamous. "Thanks again for that hand on the mission. I owe you one."
