South Dakota has never been accused of being a wholly mature person who makes informed decisions after careful consideration. Case in point, when her twin brother arrives on Legion she does her best to avoid him; she's not ready to give up her new-found Independence. On the same hand, though, he's always been an intergral part of her life and the moments she'd spent here without him always felt weird on some level.

So, with these two warring sides, she's been attempting to avoid him in general, and using her power to assume other people's personas when she couldn't sneak past him. So sometimes you might run into someone you swore you just left somewhere else, or - as the case is as the month wears on - you might see someone transforming into someone else as she comes or goes from where ever North is currently.

Feel free to run into any of the following that are actually South Dakota in disguise; South Dakota, America, Dave Strider, Texas, Robbie, or perhaps even random animals.

Tadashi pauses as he catches movement out of the corner of his eye. It's down low enough that he assumes it must be some kind of animal -- even the Athramites aren't that short, and they'd have little reason to be stalking him around Legion World when he'd just had them make another bodysuit after he'd torn his surfing on the Hab Deck.

"Hey kitty-kitty," he says, crouching down and extending a hand in that direction. He assumes it's a cat. A lot of people seem to be bringing cats in lately, maybe one of them has gotten lost.

"Pss pss pss pss." He flutters his fingers in an encouraging motion. "Here kitty."

After the earlier run in with a kitten, South had decided it was too dangerous to switch into anything smaller. So admittedly yeah, she's a little bigger and a little harrier and if someone hadn't caught a full glimpse of her before she rounded that corner she could see why they made that mistake.

The funny noises he makes are amusing, so she pauses where she is, and then turns and trots back around the corner and looks up at Tadashi as if to say, 'Yeah?'

That is emphatically not a cat. Tadashi lurches back on his heels with a startled yelp. He's pretty sure that's some kind of badger and while zoology isn't his field, he's pretty sure they're not usually a friendly, pettable species.

"What the heck?!"

The honey badger chuffs for a few moments, and then she shifts back into South, laughing.

"Dude, the look on your face!" She leans against the wall to catch her breath. "Priceless!"

Okay, well at least that explains why there's a badger wandering around on a space station. Tadashi huffs out his irritation at being startled and then laughed at, resettling his baseball cap to resettle his nerves as he rises to his feet again.

"In my defense, I've never seen one of those things this side of a computer screen," he says wryly. "What's going on around here that needs a badger? We don't have an infestation of...I don't know, space moles or something, do we?"

"Nah, I'm just fucking around with people." Namely, her brother, who she's trying to avoid, but she gives Tadashi a shit-eating grin that she was able to get the better of him. "So not exactly the outdoorsy type, huh?"

"I like surfing, but you don't see many badgers in the San Fransokyo Bay," Tadashi says with a shake of his head. "And my family lives in the city, so the biggest wild animals we tend to encounter are really fat raccoons."

He sketches a shape in the air with his hand. The raccoons in question appear to be roughly spherical.

"San Fran-what? Pretty sure you just fucked up one of Cali's more iconic cities, numbnuts."

[the_civilian]

"Yes," Tadashi answers dryly. "That is clearly what happened. It's not like we're from alternate universes or anything, where things may or may not have happened slightly differently in the past. Nope. I definitely screwed up the name of the city I've lived in for most of my life."

He crosses his arms and raises his eyebrows at her. Because really.
