South Dakota has never been accused of being a wholly mature person who makes informed decisions after careful consideration. Case in point, when her twin brother arrives on Legion she does her best to avoid him; she's not ready to give up her new-found Independence. On the same hand, though, he's always been an intergral part of her life and the moments she'd spent here without him always felt weird on some level.

So, with these two warring sides, she's been attempting to avoid him in general, and using her power to assume other people's personas when she couldn't sneak past him. So sometimes you might run into someone you swore you just left somewhere else, or - as the case is as the month wears on - you might see someone transforming into someone else as she comes or goes from where ever North is currently.

Feel free to run into any of the following that are actually South Dakota in disguise; South Dakota, America, Dave Strider, Texas, Robbie, or perhaps even random animals.

Oh what a cute little kitten wandering around on it's own. A sweet, unassuming cat that doesn't belong to anyone and really shouldn't be wandering out all alone. No collar, no leash- York's pretty sure he knows what's going on. Crouching down to scoop her up? Isn't that big of a deal.

"Now what are you doing out here all on your own?"

Flat ears and an unimpressed swish of the tail as she glares him down with yellow eyes. If anyone knew her trick and how she preferred to use it, it'd be York. She gives him a deadpan glare and a single, long, irritated meow. She was minding her own damn business thank you very much you can put her down now and do the same.

Hopefully without calling her out on her shit.

Because seriously she just doesn't want to deal with adult things right now.

YEP. That's South. Okay time to put this game to an end because this shit is five kinds of ridiculous. "Let's get you some tuna, okay? Well. Tuna substitute."

Because obligate carnivores still gotta eat and shit. He tucks her up against his shoulder and starts walking- well. To his habitat. It's nice and safe there, right?

Another moment of angry tail swishing, but then he's moving and she decides maybe it's worth the tuna substitute if he's not going to make her change back right now. She crawls up onto his shoulder and digs her claws into his shirt for purchase, tucking in by his neck.

There'd better be fucking tuna-ish something, York.

"Easy, easy. I knew new people are kinda annoying, right? Ruining your routine, kicking around halls, moving shit." Still talking about cat stuff, right? "We'll get you fed and set up somewhere without anyone new to bother you."

Technically true.

There slips a little low growl in her kitty throat; yes, new people ruining her routine. That's exactly it. But, the idea of chilling at his place in stress-free safety and companionship with someone who wouldn't ask questions ... that was a happy thought that made her purr.

Did you want a neck massage, York?

Neck massages are awesome. "I'll put on the fire, set out some tuna, and I think I got yarn from the last round of 'let's give the new people shit' from the fans. Think I'll knit another fractal scarf/hoodie thing. What do you think?"

Because something to work on without much purpose is, well. What he does. "Maybe a hood with cat ears."

She sits up a little and gives him a little look, give her a warm fire and tuna and go ahead and knit yourself a speedo for all she cares.

"Come on, we're almost there." Tuna substitute, fire, knitting. Maybe a beer and willfully ignoring the issue. The twins'll work their shit out. "I think I might have some beer too. For me."

And south when she wants to be a people again.

She settles back against his neck, maybe digging her nails in a little for purchase, but ultimately up for a relaxing evening at his place.

And probably some beer as a peoples later one once she's napped by the fire.
