Who| Tsubomi and you!
What| Newbie magical girl
Where| Observation Deck
When| N/A
Warnings/Notes| N/A
Tsubomi closed her eyes before clapping her open palms against her cheeks. Letting out a sharp sounding, "Ha!", there was that faint sting of pain which clearly meant that everything about this wasn't a dream. This was real-- this was all really, truly happening.
Upon opening her eyes, the pig-tailed girl gazed out upon the sight before her while rubbing her pink-tinged cheeks. What started off as a look of wonder and surprise were quickly giving way one that of fascination and joy. She reached down to grip the railing, leaning forward just a touch, her brain processing the sight in front of her. A stunning view of the planet below greeted her which made the realization that she was actually in space all the more real. Only once before she had ever been to the stars and that was with her friends to stop Dune. She never thought she'd have another chance like this for a long long time.
It had been roughly an hour since she had been finally released from the medical bay and the information of what was going on explained to her. Prior to that she had been in there for almost a day. It was a lot to take in and it took her time to adjust to the news. Without Erica, Chypre, and the rest with her, she knew she had to stay calm and keep it together. But finally she now had the opportunity to stretch her legs and look around, so Tsubomi was doing her best not to get worked up or panic at being alone in this place.
And next to a field filled with beautiful flowers, the second most calming sight in the world to her was the vision of space. It was even enough to make her relax even if only for a moment two.
"Amazing...!" she breathed, hands gripping the railing tight. "This-- this really is real!"

The first time Sam had left atmosphere, he'd been completely floored by the sights, and even if he'd been up more times than he'd bother counting, by now, it never really stopped looking amazing. At least once every time he went up, he had to stop somewhere - the way out, the way back, whatever - and let it sink in all over again.
(Sometimes that was enough to make him late, but he'd never admit to his mother that it hadn't been another spot of trouble or bad traffic through the asteroid belt that held him up, and that he'd just had to stop and look for the hundredth time.)
"It's even better if you get away from Legion World and just go fly out there where there's nothing," he said as he made his way over. Sometimes when there was someone on the obs deck, he'd just move on and find another spot, because some people really gave off the I want to enjoy this by myself vibes, but he wasn't really getting that here, and that kind of excitement over space? Totally understandable, as far as he was concerned.
"Just got here?"

“That sounds amazing! There’s so much to see-- I’m not sure where to begin!” Releasing her hold on the railing now she turned to Sam, properly facing him now. If that statement didn't already clue him in on the fact that yes, she was super new, Tsubomi nodded eagerly with a warm smile accompanying her chipper nature. “They just let me out a little while ago and I’ve been exploring for now.”
Then after a beat she realized that, whoopsie, haven't introduced herself yet.
“I- I’m Tsubomi Hanasaki!” There was a slight slip up as quickly introduced herself with a bow of her head. “It’s very nice to meet you!”

Don't make this awkward, stupid!
...and then attempted to cover by moving to stretch his arms straight up and then fold them behind his head. Totally smooth. Totally.
"A-anyway, if you gotta start somewhere, I think this is a good place for it."

Gwen really enjoyed herself some sick drum beats.
She actually didn't listen as this girl said something. All she really noticed was her lips moving and that she was saying something. It wasn't until after the girl spoke that Gwen took out her buds.
"Huh? What was that?"

It took her all of two seconds to process and jump to the conclusion that she must have been too loud. This meant she had interrupted the other person as she was listening to her music. Which was clearly very rude and not at all what Tsubomi had intended to happen.
Waving both of her hands in fret, she panicked slightly. “I’m so sorry! I didn't think I was being so loud!”

"Trust me, you weren't being loud. Like, at all." You could still hear the music that was coming out of her earbuds and...
Yep, definitely noisy.
"I was just wondering what it was you were saying. That's it!"

Okay, whatever, there was a new person.
And he had to figure out how to say hi.
"Uh. Hi."
Hey, that was easier than I thought.
The boy that said hello to her was small. Very small. One really had to wonder if he was fourteen like they had to be to be Legionnaires. If he was fourteen, he was a very tiny fourteen-year-old. And apparently a very shy one. His body language was very timid. He hung back away from her on the platform, as if he was awkwardly trying to figure out how to be social and very tempted to leap away and sprint off like a terrified gazelle.
