Fareeha had been left with a few things to think about, in light of her mission with Junkrat and a later conversation with Jack. She's inundated with conflicting emotions, none of them strong enough to rule out their resisting counterpart, but enough that there's a constant muzz in her head that she's trying to feel out. She had enjoyed her time with Junkrat, but should she have? Is she letting her guard down too much? But, she's never felt quite so at ease with herself in a long while. The mission itself offered some moral hesitance, and while she went through with it in the end, she wondered what that meant about the stability of her own morals, and what Legion might hold for her in the future.

She's not quite hiding, but she's spending a bit more time at the coffee house in her habitat than on the Legion ship. Feel free to hit her up for a conversation or a free coffee or tea (or milk tea boba, the newest item on the menu!).

"My master was part of the Shambali order, yes. His name was Zenyatta."

It was an easy question to answer though the fact that Zenyatta wasn't part of the order officially anymore was hinted in there.

"Our paths separated so I could confront my brother again but I still consider him my teacher."

"How did that go, if you don't mind my asking?" She floats the question delicately, because it's a delicate subject, but she is curious how some families tide the rifts that form.

"We fought." It was a simple answer, but not the whole one. Thankfully, he was more than willing to explain. "I will admit that part of it was done to my self-satisfaction. But, in the end, he knew that I forgave him. That was all I could do for him as he has yet to forgive himself."

"I hope for your sake he's able to." She can't admit to knowing too many details about the strife between him and his brother - sure, she'd heard rumors, but she wasn't one to indulge in hearsay. She did understand that there was a certain severity about it.

"So ... meditation."

"Do you have any questions about it before we begin? If there are any doubts to expel, now will be the time."

Because once they had a little travel under their belts, they were obviously heading to Nepal...or well, Genji's habitation region. It was cold, some snow on the ground, but it was definitely the large temple that probably plastered the news as the top spot for religious people to visit.

"I can't think of any, but that's probably because I'm not sure what it all entails." She figures she'll have questions to ask at some point, but right now she's not even sure what questions she would be asking.

For the moment, though, it's hard to focus on anything outside of the increasing cold - which Fareeha in her arid-desert habitat was not dressed or prepared for near- and sub-freezing temperatures.

"It entails very little on one hand but quite a bit on another."

There is nothing to hold but much to know. Still, in a metal body, Genji isn't immune to the cold but he doesn't let it cause him any issues. Though...

"Do not ask for warmth. The chill is part of the training."

"Quite the riddle you've got there." Okay, but is she really surprised? No, not really.

Fareeha chuckles darkly as she chafes her arms. "I guess I should have figured something like that." Things worth attaining weren't usually easy. But, she's got this; she may have come from a warm clime, but she's spent some time in colder ones as well throughout her life. After indulging herself a little longer, she balls her hands into fists and puts her arms down to her side in an attempt to acclimate to the weather. Granted, those times she was out in colder climes, she was usually dressed for it.

Genji turns to look at Fareeha. If she could see through his helmet, she would have definitely noticed the grin. Of course she wasn't going to have to sit out in the cold. But if she had given up at just that mention, he probably would have turned them both around. Instead, he opened a door into a side room where a fire was lit. Thankfully, it was warm inside.

"We will start in here. Ignoring the weather around you is a skill to be learned far in the future."

Despite herself, she sags in relief at the sight of the fire.

"Good. Not that I would have complained otherwise ... or, at least not aloud." She smirks back at him and walks in to situate herself by the fire, though not giving in and plopping herself in front of it like she would have liked; she has a reputation to keep.

Well, she wouldn't have a choice but to sit there. Unfortunately, the difficult part was to come. Genji reached behind his back and unhooked his short sword, sheath and all. Rather than be aggressive with it, he set it against the ground, it being just long enough that he could balance it standing up with just his index finger.

"I will need to you sit by the fire with your legs crossed. Your hands will need to be together, with your index and middle fingers outstretched pressed together but with the rest of your fingers intertwined."

It was very stereotypical of a meditation position but it was like that for a reason. Namely holding one's hands in front of them was physically difficult after a long period of time.

She diligently follows directions; seating herself cross-legged on the floor where she is by the fire, setting her hands in front of her index and middle fingers extended and her other fingers laced together. It's not exactly an instinctive position for her, and she does take a moment to shift around until she's sure she's gotten all of his points, and then she sighs, straightens her back, and looks up at him.

So good so far.

Genji's sword comes off the ground and he uses the hilt to move Fareeha's arms into a more precise position. He figured that would only be a one time thing as she was physically trained well and probably had good muscle memory.

"Now, close your eyes. I want you to think of things that bother you. If speaking them helps, go ahead, but you must acknowledge those things yourself."

As he makes each adjustment, she makes a mental note; she'll remember. The hard part was going to be holding it steady. She could probably do far longer than the average Joe off the street, but while she was trained for endurance, this was excersizing a different set of muscles.

And then having to think about all the things that bother her, well ... that's no small, inconsequential list. She frowns slightly, looking over at him at the request, but then takes a breath and closes her eyes.

She is absolutely going to do this quietly because heaven forbid Genji find out what a mess she was.

People who don't signal changing lanes. Weak tea. Men who make a big deal about opening the door first. Best to start out small, she figures, working through some minor pet-peeves before she tackles some of the meatier issues.

"Continue."

Genji paces a little bit, though with his silent stride, it shouldn't be a distraction in the slightest.

"These thoughts are leaving your mind as you make them as acknowledging them grants an exit."

Her brow furrows in concentration as she starts to dig deeper into her issues. Grant them an exit - let them go. But, as each thought crosses her mind, it brings with it a string of emotional baggage that triggers thought spirals and what ifs and whys. Her frown deepens, her body becomes tense, ad she loses focus on just letting go.

When she loses her concentration, she gets a soft whack from the metal of Genji's sword hilt. She's free to open her eyes and see Genji looking down at her. He's not judging but he is curious as to what is causing her problems. As far as he knew, which was presuming a lot, her life should have been somewhat find.

"What is it that plagues you? Take a moment to boil it down to ten words or less, otherwise you may overwhelm yourself again."

This time, at least, he was expecting an answer.

She startles with that smack, and there's a flash of a moment where she can't help glaring at him, but she's able to cap it off pretty quickly; she's here to learn by his teachings, so she's not going to let that anger get the better of her.

And soon enough he gives her something else to focus on as she has to narrow down the litany of reasons she's not doing too well at this. She pulls in a breath and lets it out in a sigh as she tries to narrow it all down. Ten words sounds ample, but it doesn't quite cover I was born into Overwatch, was not allowed to join, and am struggling to find acceptance with my estranged mother who - by the way - let me believe she was dead for six years. But, in that little mental barrage; she finds her answer.

She lets out another sigh, some more like defeat as her shoulders sag. She doesn't look up at Genji as she makes her admission; "My mother."

His arms cross. Internally, he's minorly confused but he doesn't let it show in his actions. He's here not to judge but to assist her in her progression. Regardless, it's something she'll need to discard if Fareeha wishes to move along with her life.

"Why?"

His tone modifies what he's questioning. He's not asking why her mother is the source of her problem but why she held that issue in the first place. It's not about her reasons but why she's clinging onto those reasons.

Fareeha is quiet for a long moment as she thinks on that. There is a moment when she interprets his question as to why she considers her mother the primary concern, but eventually she realizes what he's really asking.

The answer seemed to stare her in the face but took some time in forming words around. "She's my mother, how can I just let that go? She's trying to make things right ... I want to make things right."

"There is no need to let your mother go."

The fact that she's willing to make an improvement on what is bothering her is a good thing. However, letting that same feeling drag her down won't help in the slightest. So he stops to take a breath.

"A fallen blossom cannot return to the branch nor can a broken mirror be made to shine. Acknowledge the issue but you cannot linger on the past. Instead, you must focus on what can be done in the future. On what you can do. Let your past sink its grip into you and you will never be truly free."

It's some flowery speech he gives her and it takes a moment for her to suss out his meaning; it feels like she's solving a riddle at every turn. She thinks on his words, and on letting go of the past.

There's so much there, dug in like a tick, and it's hard to let go of because the future is so uncertain. She will, however, make an attempt; she resumes the position, closes her eyes, and pulls in and releases a deep breath.

Come on, Fareeha; let it go.

"Breathe in on the count of four. Hold it for another four. Then exhale on a count of eight. While doing that, imagine all your problems leaving you."

It was a simple statement, one that most would put forward to absolve stress. But it had uses in all environments, including their current one.

She'll follow his instructions, breathing in, holding, and breathing out while carefully counting.

"Good."

It was a small compliment for the moment.

"Now tell me, what are you thinking of now?"
