Kid Quantum does a lot of swearing when she gets the heads up from Wash. She literally does not have the time for this nass, but here it is, right on top of her already-overfull plate.

In this particular case, Tracer is effectively a speedster, so instead of trying to hunt her down in person, Kid Quantum flicks through the security feeds, looking for one or both of the women in question. She finds them on the Obs Deck, but the fight is over before she can send anyone to break it up.

Okay. Fine.

She fires off a message to the Hub so that the Kwai know not to take Tracer off of Legion World, and to the ship pilots so that they know the same. If she hauls Tracer in now, she's going to say something she'll probably regret, and she needs to talk to Widowmaker first anyway.

What a sprocking fun couple of hours this is going to be.

That was quick. Tracer had barely been gone when Widowmaker's current superior contacted her. Someone must have informed the woman, which was better than she could have expected. Time to find out how the Legion really worked.

A reply was sent: I don't require medical attention; Tracer doesn't hit very hard. I will report to your office post haste.

Already she was on her way, leaving her plenty of time to give Sombra a quick update before reaching Kid Quantum's office.

True to her word, Kid Quantum is in her office, leaning against her desk with her arms crossed across her chest.

"So," she said drily, "friend from home?"

Widowmaker had a wet cloth stained with an unnaturally dark red color pressed to her lip when she arrived. The bleeding had almost stopped, though talking was likely to break it open again. Thankfully, her blood would only ooze given her nature.

"There is a special place reserved for her in my cold, unbeating heart," she replied. One sarcasm deserved another, though Widowmaker's wasn't entirely facetious.

"We belong to opposing factions."

"So I gathered from the exchange on the network."

Yeah, Kid Quantum had seen that, too.

"I'm going to be speaking with her after we're done here. Her attacking you and stealing your weapon is unacceptable behavior and she will be facing consequences for it. If anyone has a problem with one or more of their teammates, it should be brought to me or to Tenzil so that we can work something out."

The moment Widowmaker realized what kind of people she was going to have to work with upon ending up in this dimension - the only ones aside from this Time Trapper being that could potentially return her to Talon - she knew there was little point in denying what she was. It didn't bother her that Tracer had declared her a murderer to everyone, because she was one. What she wasn't was an uncontrolled psychopath that killed for pleasure. Hopefully, she'd made that clear during her initial vetting.

"As long as Widow's Kiss is returned to me promptly and in proper condition, I will be satisfied," she replied. "It is better that she got this out of her system now than have it come to head at a crucial moment in the field." A pause. "Though the next time she comes at me, I will not simply stand there and take it as I did today."

"You'll have it back," Kid Quantum assures her. "And hopefully there will not be a next time." She arches an eyebrow. "I would never disapprove of you restraining someone attempting to assault you, of course."

"Surely you can see how it was not in my best interest in this instance to do so," Widowmaker countered. "But I am pleased to know I am allowed to defend myself against my fellow Legionnaires should some of them make the mistake of thinking I lack self-discipline."

She folded the cloth the other way, pressing it to her lip again. "Do you require anything else of me, Commandant?"

"Like I said, this shouldn't be a situation that repeats itself," Kid Quantum says. "And unless you've got anything else for me, or if you'd like me to put in an order for non-lethal rounds for you, you're free to go. I'll let you know when I've got your gun back."

"I would appreciate you placing the order for those rounds; I had not the opportunity to do so myself. The greater the variety of ammunition I have at my disposal, the better we will be," Widowmaker replied.

"In the meantime while I wait for Widow's Kiss to be back in my hands, I will familiarize myself with the physiology of the various kinds of peoples this dimension has. So I do not accidentally kill someone through ignorance." If she killed someone, it should be on purpose.

"Otherwise, I have nothing further."
