Whistling in the Dark - Mod Plot [Log Post]

Who| Everyone who signed up!
What| Whistling in the Dark Plot. The gang has to deal with threats around Legion World and the possessed
Where| Everywhere!
When| After Ferro's post on the network
Warnings/Notes| N/A

Everywhere around the ship things start to fall apart. Aside from the juddering as it shakes, lights start turning off, life support starts failing, the artificial gravity starts malfunctioning, and strange bursts of energy from the ship's engine causes electronics to stop working. And that's not all: it seems like every possible system that could be acting up is acting up.

In short, Legion World is a mess. And all they know so far is that some of the support staff may be responsible and that they're also possibly possessed by some kind of alien infestation that occasionally makes their eyes flash black.

It's time to get answers -- something that will be difficult with all the threats they're facing on the ship. Not only do the Legionnaires have to survive, the support staff will occasionally need rescue, too.

With the rate that systems are failing, the odds are not in their favor, especially since these malfunctions caused the escape pods to automatically launch without any crew in them. They'll have to work fast to stop the threat before everyone on Legion World dies.

"Couldn't hurt, anyway." Man, Jason was glad to be with someone who actually had a clue of what he was talking about. He'd have to buy Pash a smoothie or something later, when this was all done and over with. That they'd be in the shape to do something like that wasn't even a question in his mind.

Jason let them go back and forth. Override codes, messing with control panels, all of that was over his head. When they wound down, he cut to the stuff that he could actually make sense of. "So, we're splitting up the group? Some of us going for doors, maybe two or three of us going for that control panel?" He shook his head, trying to cut off an argument there. "I definitely want more than one person going there. Just in case something happens, you know?"

Now that he was considering it, it made more sense for the actual Legionnaires to be doing the control panel job. They took the Oath. That probably meant that it was their duty to stick around in the dangerous areas while everyone else made it to safety.

"You're right, we don't need anybody running around without a wingman right now." He glanced at the support crew. No Legionnaires in the vicinity aside from them, and anyway - the civilians had been here longer, knew their way around. They'd know their best exit vector without any outside input.

"You and I take the control panel, everyone else gets clear. Acceptable?"

Jason nodded. "Sounds good to me." He waved a hand at the support crew. "Might as well get started. Every second counts."

He paused.

Zordon would say something along the lines of the Power protecting them. Here, though, that'd mean nothing. Jason never really thought much on the Power, other than it being his. And now he didn't even have that. So he just offered a salute. "Be careful, okay?"

Without waiting too long for a reply, Jason turned and started off at a trot. A few seconds later, he turned around to Pash again, grinning sheepishly. "...You're the one with the map. Lead the way, bro."
