Movie Night IV: Movie Harder

Who| Wash and anyone who wants to join
What| Movie night!
Where| The same lounge movie night is always in
When| A few days after Silent Horizon and No Sanity Clause
Warnings/Notes| They're watching Clue, because Tim Curry is the cure for everything.

It has been, to put none too fine a point on it, a shitty week. Everyone needs a place where they can relax and get their minds off what's happened; to that end, Wash figures it's about time for another movie night, and goes for a comedy this time. Sure, Clue is technically a murder mystery with a slow build, but he's pretty sure people will enjoy it as long as he's up front about it.

There's tables full of snacks and drinks set up, per usual. Extra blankets are piled on the arms and backs of chairs and sofas, because blankets make things better and therefore need to be available. There's a sign outside the door with the movie's title, MPAA rating, and a brief summary, along with a note at the bottom: Movie night is neutral territory. Might as well make it known up front.

That's a joke he walks right into, and he's got nobody to blame but himself. He gets the feeling that if he doesn't give her an answer that isn't too difficult to believe without it being a non-answer, she'll never leave him alone.

He lets out a gruff sigh, arms folded slowly across his chest as he keeps looking forward. Anywhere but at her directly.

"It was suggested," he grumbles, not necessarily a lie. Sombra did tell him to go. "It was made clear early on that taking on the Legionnaires was counter-productive."

Its clear that Lena is suspicious of his reply, but it checks out well enough. The Legion surely wouldn't have recruited him if they didn't think they could control him. But then again, how well did anyone really know the man who called himself 'Reaper'? She hadn't been able to track down much of anything on him, even if she'd only started recently -- after the museum incident.

"Well--good," she replies, relaxing another inch. "Maybe you do got a soul hidin' down in there after all. Would be a nice thought, wouldn't it?"

Maybe then he'd make a friend or two, and leave everyone and everything else alone.

He doesn't even bother to hide the way he seems to roll his eyes, the way his shoulders shift a little when he adjusts his folded arms and lets out a muted sound of what might've been disgust. At least she does well to remain suspicious; he'd be disappointed if she didn't.

"Spare me your patronizing. I have no interest in soul searching."

Except for the ones I plan to take once I'm off this Legion World is left unsaid.

Then he does a little shooing motion with his claws, apparently very much Done with this conversation.
