Movie Night IV: Movie Harder

It has been, to put none too fine a point on it, a shitty week. Everyone needs a place where they can relax and get their minds off what's happened; to that end, Wash figures it's about time for another movie night, and goes for a comedy this time. Sure, Clue is technically a murder mystery with a slow build, but he's pretty sure people will enjoy it as long as he's up front about it.

There's tables full of snacks and drinks set up, per usual. Extra blankets are piled on the arms and backs of chairs and sofas, because blankets make things better and therefore need to be available. There's a sign outside the door with the movie's title, MPAA rating, and a brief summary, along with a note at the bottom: Movie night is neutral territory. Might as well make it known up front.

Wash is packing up what's left of the food and plates and generally tidying up the space after what's starting to become a typical movie night. Clue might not have been the best comedy to start with, but Wash will fully admit that his movie choices are selfish sometimes. Plus, it wasn't a repeat of the Lion King incident, so as far as he's concerned, it was a success.

"Thanks. I'm kind of wondering how many people will be quoting it from here on out."

"Probably a handful of people, it's got some pretty good lines," she chuckles and starts setting the folded blankets aside in a neat pile. Wonder how many blankets in total Wash has managed to find in the last few days...

"What other movies do you have on the list for these nights? Have I missed any good ones?"

"I'm expecting a lot of 'flames on the side of my face.'" He makes the appropriate gestures. It's near the end, and it's a pretty great line, so it'll probably be what sticks in people's minds.

"Alien and Aliens, The Lion King, Die Hard, and this one so far." Only one was an unmitigated disaster, which is a pretty good success rate in Wash's book. "I keep wanting to show Scream, but it's never the right time."

Connie snickers at his miming, nodding along to his movie picks so far.

"Ahh. Yeah that one's probably going to have to wait a bit. Maybe you could do a themed night, so people know what they're coming in for?"

"That's why I started putting a sign up. Turns out The Lion King is really traumatic to about half the people here, so now everyone gets a warning."

"Well- to be fair it's got one of the saddest parent deaths in an animated movie ever. Of all time."

She shakes her head and casts a quick glance around the tidied up room.

"Think we're about done here?"

"Yeah, I wasn't thinking about that at the time." And it had showed.

He folds his arms and surveys the room. Trash is put away, food is contained and all on one table for him to take care of later, room is mostly arranged the way he'd found it - all in all, there's nothing too out of the ordinary for the cleaning staff to take care of. "Yeah, I think so," he says. "Ready to go?"

"It's easy to forget we're not all up to speed with each other."

Giving a small nod to the tidied room she slips her hands into her pockets and turns to head out the door, trusting him to follow. Should be an easy walk/fly/whatever to get back to her habdeck, or at the very least it should be quiet.
