VALOR'S DAY
Universally celebrated through the United Planets, this yearly holiday celebrates the hero Valor, a Daxamite responsible for helping many UP species like the Braalians and Winathians to colonize their worlds over a thousand years ago. Valor's Day has over time evolved into a general holiday that promotes togetherness, charity, and good will through the galaxy.

Valor's Day celebrations through the UP are know for their displays of multi-colored lights, decorated trees, garlands of various plants and flowers, and "goodwill" carols. Valor's Day is also associated with Valor pageants and "origin" plays, and the playing of the blootsplort horn and tringlebells. Traditionally, gifts are given between different individuals, with each species having their own specific gift-giving traditions.

Legion World is no exception when it comes to the festivities. Garlands of rainbow flowers and wreathes of fragrant grasses decorate the halls and common areas. In some places where it won't interfere in Legion operations, goodwill carols play. The music is played on alien instruments and is probably very different compared to what some of the Legionnaires might be used to hearing around winter holidays, but it has the same mix of cheer and brightness as Christmas carols.

His gaze turns back to the glove, flexing his hand as the glow cuts in and out with each curl of his fingers. It's really growing on him. Not that he'd ever tell Sombra that (but she could probably suss that out herself).

Any of those subject changes would've provided him more entertainment than her reveling in her obvious invulnerable status. If he knew anything about Lena's arrival on the ship, he would've mentioned it himself. As for Ana and working with 76, well, he would expect her to do whatever's necessary whenever those types of alliances are forced. He knew well enough that the Rimborian job required multiple pair-ups, so the possibility of it happening aren't zero. It wouldn't have surprised him. It certainly would've interested him, though, just to hear the story.

"I'd manage." The slight smirk is audible in his tone. 'Just not as smoothly' is left unsaid, but she doesn't need him to say it out loud.

"I mean, you were before I got here, right?" She might not be able to catch any visual cues for that grin, but hey, between the two of them she makes up for it. Which makes it a momentary pause before Sombra climbs to her feet again, skirting close enough to reach out and pat his shoulder in passing— he might dislike the gesture, but she's never cared enough to do anything but tempt fate.

Getting swatted at is all part of the fun anyway.

Still, there's a certain sort of honesty when she nears the midpoint of the room, footsteps slowed to a temporary halt. "Happy Valor's Day, amigo."

The sudden upward movement of his hand is anything but menacing, as casual as a swat can get. Though he's not exactly the type of person you just went up and touched unless you absolutely had to (or were looking to get your arm twisted behind your back). Only a small handful of people could get away with it, then and now.

His gaze follows her, and he intends on keeping his eyes on anyone that's in the same room as him until they leave which is mostly out of habit. He doesn't respond in kind. It's not like Valor's Day means shit to him, even if Sombra seems to be taking it semi-seriously.

A hum in acknowledgement is all he allows.
