Who| Casey Jones and you
What| A fantasy in the sim room goes terribly wrong.
Where| Sim room
When| Shortly after he arrives in Legion
Warnings/Notes| Casey's a dumbass
So, Casey's an awesome superhero, he's here to save the universe, and everything is super freakin' metal!
The first thing he's gotta do is try out his powers, right? And the best way to do that is use the simulation room to take on something big. Last time he was in space, he had to get the Fugitoid's permission to use the simulations like he was his dad and he never wanted to do anything this cool, but as a hero he got the run of the place. Pretty sweet!
How about...a giant fire-breathing dragon for starters?
And then up it comes as if it were really real, shiny red scales and marble-black eyes. Casey -no, he's Reaper now- braces himself and claps his hands together. He sure knows explosives and getting to know these little beauties is going to be a blast!
He doesn't even get the chance to laugh at his own pun, and barely registers that this is taking a few more seconds than he'd like before that dragon turns around and wacks him with it's tail, sending him tumbling head-over-heels across the simulated rocks. (You have to fight dragons on a mountain, right, that's just a rule?)
When he came to a skidding stop on his front -ow- and then a half-second later felt the impact of his explosion from behind him. Too far to be dangerous, but too close not to scare the crap out of him. The dragon rears up in front of him as he scrambles to his feet. He's got this, he totally does, he just...maybe needs something a little stronger than a hockey stick.

"What the Hel are you doing?"
no subject
"Tryin' out my new powers!" Apparently, that's not obvious to...viking-dude though he can't figure out what else it could look like. "Figured I should start with somethin' worthy of my awesomeness!"
no subject
"Because, speaking as the resident dragon expert here? It looked like you were trying to get yourself set on fire."
There were certain things you didn't do around angry dragons if you could avoid it. Standing right in front of them was one of those things, unless they happened to be a Deadly Nadder.

No angry dragon is going to wait for them to stand around and talk. The creature suddenly lunges, butting it's head between the two boys and snapping it's jaws wildly.
"Whoa," Casey said with a chuckle, "if this wasn't just a hologram, I'd be kinda scared!" A few charges appeared in his hand, which he chucked at the dragon's eyes. Too bad he couldn't flash bang the thing, his explosives didn't seem to work like that, but the impact of the explosions knocked one of it's teeth out and made it turn it's full attention to Casey.

(But then again, he might not have, because that's also the kind of guy he is.)
Fortunately, between the explosion and... well, the fact that it's a giant, fire-breathing dragon, Kon thinks he's got the gist of the situation pretty quickly. Now, all he needs to do is find the person who started all this and—
—oh. Oh. Casey sure looks like a guy who could use a hand. Kon couldn't fight a dragon alone, but he could probably distract it, at the very least, so he flies over, stopping in mid-air between them, and says:
"I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"
no subject
Casey doesn't actually mind Kon's interruption. If he'd heard a commotion coming from the sim room he would have been in there before he'd even thought about it.
The dragon roars into the sky, just like Casey always envisioned a dragon would. Somehow, his grin got impossibly wider and he tapped his hockey stick on the ground, challenging the beast.
But not before he could shoot Kon a grin. "Check it out! How freakin' metal is that?!"
no subject
Wow. Okay. Maybe he misread the situation? Casey seems more concerned with how awesome this whole thing is (understandably, Kon thinks—it is pretty sweet), so maybe he had this. That would be a plus, because Superboy was not quite super enough to properly defeat a dragon by himself.
"Can't say I've seen a whole lotta dragons in my life," he says, casually. There are so many things wrong with that statement! "But I'm inclined to agree. But, uh... How are you gonna fight it?"
no subject
Casey's got the dragon following it's hockey stick, waving it in a figure 8 motion. Seems to be working to keep it hypnotized.
"Never fought a dragon before, but I figured I'd come up with somethin'! Always do!" He seems so excited, like he's finally completed a collection. Great Fights of the Vigilante set.

"I sure hope so. I don't think dragon-slaying's part of my skillset."
no subject
"It's a big monster and I never met a big monster I couldn't-WHOA!"
The dragon suddenly lunges forward with a snap, catching Casey's stick in it's mouth, breaking it in half as it bursts into flames.
Casey stumbles backwards and fetches his goalie stick. "Lookit that, it wants to play! You in?"
no subject
"Hey, I'm down if you are."
And so, Superboy's Good(?) Decision streak continues. Either way, with the dragon's attention on Casey, Kon looks for a spot to land somewhere behind it. He still wasn't sure of the extent of his powers and just what he could do with them, but even without super strength, he could probably work something out with his tactile telekinesis.
