Wash had hoped that trying would be good enough - he'd never been one for costumes, but he could humor the kids for the purposes of Space Spring Halloween. To that end, he was all in gray, with a pair of homemade (though really, that was just a nice way of saying poorly made) matching paper cat ears perched on his head.
Evidently trying didn't matter if it didn't end in succeeding - at least where costumes and Mabel were concerned - and Wash hadn't made it quite that far. "Seriously?" he said, allowing himself to be dragged to the taped-off box space. "C'mon, Mabel, I have a costume. I'm a cat."
