Amélie followed the path of that hand with her eyes, drawing in an uneven breath as the physical warmth from such little contact spread up her arm. A brief tightness squeezed in her chest but then was gone just as fast, torn away from her by her apathy as quickly as she'd had other things ripped away in the past. She leaned forward a bit, almost stepping closer, before her weight settled back on her feet.
Bringing the hand of her free arm up to run through her hair, pushing the loose dark strands back from her face with a controlled motion, Amélie swallowed and decided to focus her gaze for a moment on the ground near Marjara's feet.
"Je suis désolée," she murmured. "I should have told you I was coming over. If you are busy, I can..." Her eyes flickered back up at the elf. "...go."
