A mountain, heart tell me how to go
Who| Kubo, Beetle, America, Garrus, Kid Q, and various others.
What| A whole bunch of reactions following the throwdown in the lunchroom.
Where| PLACES.
When| Post Mess Hall fight at various times.
Warnings/Notes| Sad kid reacting to past violence and threats of violence!
With Wash's sentence passed, Kubo felt the last of his fighting adrenaline fade. The mountain of things he had to do rose up in the back of his mind, consequences for his actions and the old memories of other times other people had gotten hurt for him stinging like a real wound.

For Beetle
Somehow, having to apologize to his father was the hardest. But also, the clearest possible apology he could think of making first.
"You must be disappointed with me," he said, head bowed, voice small. He couldn't spare himself hearing Beetle's disappointment, but he could at least spare himself the sight of his father's face.
For Garrus
He started out his search in the cafeteria, wandering the halls in search of Garrus. He didn't know how to contact the newer Legionnaire over the comms, and in any case, he still preferred face-to-face conversation to communicating over technology.

It's a habit borne of paranoia, but surrounded by people he's only just starting to get familiar with, it makes him feel a little more in control.
Naturally, he sees Kubo coming well before the kid actually arrives - the first time he's seeing him since the incident with Rico. As Kubo approaches, Garrus nods offering a small smile.
"You doing alright?"

The response was as formal as Kubo's posture.
"I came to apologize. I didn't mean for you to get involved in a fight on my behalf. I'm very sorry you were hurt because of my decisions."
His gaze slid away from Garrus as the familiar guilt gnawed at him. He'd never made this apology to his village. He'd not assumed he'd have to KEEP making this sort of apology, once Grandfather became mortal.
