"It's called Old Man," Kubo says, having opted as he always does not to sing the song he's covering. Converting old guitar songs to the shamisen leaves them recognizable, if one is familiar with old Earth music, but Kubo's own flair takes the tune in its own charming direction. "It's an old song here, but when I'm from, it won't be written for a long, long time."
