(And if he was honest with himself, Donnie was a little curious about just how quickly the medical advances here would help take care of something like that, even if he was less thrilled that they were going to find out the hard way.)
He swung himself around lightly, pulling himself up a bit on his staff to get a hand on one of the rungs of the ladder and set himself against the side of the tunnel more comfortably - and take a look upwards.
"Looks like the ladder goes up at least a bit further. There's probably access back into the corridors up there; it'd be kind of stupid to put in a ladder that doesn't lead to anywhere people are going."
