"I've been here for weeks - long enough to have the lay of the land, and allies, and the trust of the people in charge of the Legion." This is what he's been building up to, and his tone evens out, calm and serious. "They know about you. They know about Chorus. They know that I'm the only one with information on you. And right now, they're asking me if you can be trusted without Felix here to yank on your leash. So you can either answer my questions and make life a little easier for everyone, or you can be an asshole and spend the rest of your time here inside a cell." The latter probably won't happen outside of extreme circumstances, but Locus doesn't know that.
"I would say it's your decision, but you don't like making those." It's a slap in the face, and it's meant to be. Wash isn't above being petty, even when the situation absolutely does not call for it.
