Mabel's never been entirely good at waking up before she's ready, and this time is no different.
"Dipper?" She asks groggily, releasing her pig from her iron cuddle grasp. She then rolls over to face her brother's bed. She half expects to see him hunched over and writing furiously. That's usually how he'd wake her up, with his pen clicking and frenzied conversations with himself.
She realizes quickly though that this time is different. There's thrashing and screaming. He's not even awake! And as she quickly rolls herself from bed, the scene before her strikes a chord in her sleep-addled brain. He looks just like Gruncle Stan flailing around when Bill tried to help himself to his memories.
"Dipper!" She cries as she rushes to his bedside. Instinctively, she looks to where the bedside table would have been back in Gravity Falls. But she realizes that's not where they are. It's not summer. There's no journal full of magic words to save someone's brain from jerkfaced triangle. Hopefully there's no jerkfaced triangle either...
Instead, she grabs him by the shoulder and starts shaking him violently.
