He knows that everyone he's come into contact with so far wants him behind bars (or something the equivalent of that), especially his own former teammates, which makes this decision seem almost a bit too obvious. Seems even after death, Gabe still has some pride issues.

Play nice. He's not entirely sure he could manage that, especially if he has to see Jack. Also there's no promises when it comes to Reinhardt. Hell, Reinhardt may as well initiate the fight before he does.

But there's a certain resigned sound to his answer, which means he's probably thinking about taking the oath sooner or later. There's still a part of him that wants the authorities to try their worst... but Ana doesn't have to know that. If anything, she'll meddle, and she'll succeed, and it'll just be extra annoying to deal with later down the line.

He keeps the datapad, and ghosts away from the spot, working his way towards the edge of the area where the illusion of his home planet ends.
