Who| Ramlethal Valentine and anyone!
What| Ram has been cleared from the medbay and is now walking around in Legion World.
Where| A hallway in Legion World, and then the Mess Hall
When| During No Sanity & Silent Horizon plots
[Universe outside my window]
Ramlethal stood silent and unmoving as she looked through the window. She had often stared into the night sky when she was with Sin, El, and Sol. But she had gone beyond that now, and was looking at the stars while being in space herself. It was an unusual feeling, knowing that just a single vessel was standing between her and the cold, unforgiving vacuum of space. And yet, she still found it mesmerizing to look at. All the stars, as far as her eyes could see. Her hand pressed against the cold window, as Ram wondered what else lay beyond.
A couple of passerbys would stare, wondering why she was there to begin with. She definitely must've been new. Why else would she have been so fascinated by the universe outside the window?
At some point, she finally stepped away, continuing to walk down through the halls. One of her arms and legs was still covered in gray bandages, a result of having lost both body parts previous to her arrival on Legion World, and what she had assumed was a quick restoration by Raven.
So much of this was new to her, seeing their level of advancement without the reliance of magic. The complete opposite of her world, one which had outlawed the continued pursuit of science...
It was impressive, really.
Lost in thought as she was, Ramlethal rounded a corner and bumped into someone. "I'm sorry." She said, stepping back.
"I was not paying attention."
[Mess Hall]
She was hungry and had directed herself to the mess hall, the designated source of food as well as socialization. Not many here would pay attention to her, as they were already occupied with their own interactions and conversations. The number of different races and species was an eye-opener to Ram, who had mostly just been exposed to humans, gears, and the occasional vampire.
Ram walked up and gave out her order. It a simple dish, yet one that was familiar to her while also holding special meaning.
A hamburger.
Though in response, the staff member just gave her a strange look, with some of the other individuals nearby doing the same, and beginning to whisper amongst themselves. Had she done something wrong? All she had ordered was a simple hamburger. Instead, Ramlethal was served what was known as a "veggie burger" and told to move it along.
Making her way to a table and sitting down, Ram began to stare at the veggie burger. And stare some more.
It was similar, but at the same time...
She picked it up and held it in her hands, staring at it for a moment before setting back down in front of her. Ram honestly didn't know what to make of this.

He shrugged and offered a polite smile. A little bumping-into was no big deal, you know? It happened. But when he caught sight of her bandages, his expression became concerned.
"Are you alright?"
Maybe a better question would be, 'Should you be walking around like that?'
so sorry for this delay
"I'm fine. The impact between our bodies was minimal. There should be no cause for concern."
But really, as smart as she was, basic human interaction remained an area of much-needed improvement for her.
no worries!! ♥

"You mean my arm and leg? There's nothing for you to worry about." She flexed and stretched both limbs.
"They're both working as intended."
... Not particularly reassuring, though.

As he introduced himself, he offered his hand.

... But really.
"I was brought here recently."

Well, it helped that he was pretty personable, too. And he was an artist, and one who absolutely drew the people around Legion World every now and then, so he had a habit of noticing the details.
"Anyway, it's nice to meet you, Ramlethal. Are you new to the whole 'superhero' thing?"
no subject
And friends. Ram also wanted friends.
"It's difficult and unfamiliar to me."

"I can imagine," he said. "Change is tough. And this situation... It can kind of be a lot to deal with."
For most people, this place, this time, was hugely different from where they had come from. Adjusting at all could be overwhelming, and that was without having to think about things like becoming an entirely different person.
"But there's a lot of good people here. A lot of people that just wanna help. With people like that around, you'll get used to it in no time."
no subject
It was a different.
"How do you know that? You can't possibly know everyone here."

He'd totally recommend them. Kyle may not have felt as close to the Legionnaires as he felt to the Lanterns, but he didn't have any complaints. He shrugged.
"And, I mean, I may not be the most experienced guy here. But I'd be happy to help in any way I can, too."
He was definitely the optimistic type. He tended to assume the best of people, but even if it turned out that there were some bad apples in the bunch (and there would be—statistically, there had to be), it just meant that he'd have to work even harder to make up for it.

"I don't know. My sister, Elphelt, can talk to complete strangers and make friends so easily." And Sin had told her that it was easier than she was making it out to be, to just talk and make friends.
And yet. How could she actually put that into practice?
"But I'm not as good at it as her."

Arkillo would probably be offended by Kyle including him and the word 'friends' in even the same train of thought, but it definitely worked better than 'non-murderous acquaintances' or... something like that. The point is, he thinks anything's possible.

"Would you like to be friends with me?"
